Loads of kids in Oakland have access to a high-quality music education. The problem is, the majority of those kids live in the more well-to-do areas. Do you know who doesn't have access? East Oakland. Well, what then? East Oakland has just as much, if not more talent, curiosity, and thirst for knowledge as other areas, but the problem is ACCESS. The music programs aren't there, serving their community, so they just don't have the access.

So what is the solution? Harmony Project! We design small programs at local elementary and middle schools; we invest in the community; and we create the programming in a responsive and involved way.

That's where you come in. We need YOUR help to continue and expand our programming. We currently have three programs in Oakland, and they need your support! A gift of just $100 will give a kid all the supplies and materials they need for a full year (except for the instrument) $180 covers the cost of instruction for one student for one month. $500 covers one teacher for a whole week of instruction for all of the students, and $1800 covers one student for a whole year!

We have grants from local and state governments and foundations; however, many of them want to match the individual donations. Our goal of raising $5000 will help secure institutional funding and show us that we are headed in the right direction with our program!

Our mission is to go to the most underserved areas of Oakland and GIVE MUSIC right to the kids in these communities. With your financial support, we can keep the music going; we can keep striving, inspiring, believing, and loving these kids, all through the lens of music.
