Loads of kids in Oakland have access to a high quality music education. The problem is, the majority of those kids live in the more well-to-do areas. You know who doesn't have access? East Oakland. Well, what then? East Oakland has just as much, if not more talent, curiosity, and thirst for knowledge as other areas, but the problem is ACCESS. The music programs aren't there, serving their community, so they just don't have the access. 

So what is the solution? Harmony Project! We design small programs at local elementary and middle schools, we invest in the community, and we create the programming in a responsive and involved way. 

That's where you come in. We need YOUR funds to be able to continue and expand our programming. We currently have two programs in Oakland, currently running their first year in person - and they need your support! A gift of just $100 will give a kid all the supplies and materials they need for a full year (except for the instrument) $180 covers the cost of instruction for one student for one month.  $500 covers one teacher for a whole week of instruction for all of the students, and $1800 covers one student for a whole year!

We have grants, and lots of support, from local and state government grants, however, many of them want to match the individual donations. Our goal of raising $5000 will 

Our mission is to go to the most underserved areas of Oakland and GIVE MUSIC right to the kids in these communities. With your financial support, we can keep the music going, we keep striving, keep inspiring, keep believing, and keep loving these kids, all through the lens of music.
