Access to nature is a necessity. Across Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and communities in between, Latino Outdoors Texas connects Latine families with nature, celebrates nuestra cultura , and nurtures a lifelong ethic of environmental stewardship. Every dollar raised during Giving Day directly funds free family outings, volunteer leadership development, and community storytelling right here in Texas.
Our goal is simple: connect comunidades to the parks, canyons, rivers and wildlife that make our state one of a kind. From friends exploring local trails to familias camping for the very first time, our volunteer coordinators create inclusive spaces that spark curiosity and belonging, and remind us that there is room for everyone outdoors.
Through free, family-friendly outings from local nature walks to fishing to overnight campouts in Texas State Parks we help eliminate barriers to nature. By equipping local volunteer leaders with safety certifications and skills, we support the mentorship of the next generation of conservation champions. We celebrate our deep-rooted cultural ties to nature and expand who is seen in the outdoors by amplifying community stories.

Is my donation being matched? | Yes! Thanks to the generosity of the Latino Outdoors Board and Staff, we have created a Matching Gift Pool of $4,000. If your donation is made while the matching challenge is activated, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar until the pool runs out! |
When does the matching challenge start? | The Matching Gift Challenge officially kicks off on Giving Tuesday (December 2nd), but you can donate anytime between November 18th and until the matching gift pool is exhausted to have your gift matched. |
