Hepatitis B 5k Hero Run/Walk: Be a 'Hep B Hero'
About Hepatitis B and San Francisco HEP B FREE - Bay Area
July 28th is World Hepatitis Day. Hepatitis B takes a life every 30 seconds. Most of these lives are Asian. Hepatitis B is a significant health inequity faced by the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI). 1 in 12 AAPI are chronically infected with hepatitis B. Without treatment or monitoring, 1 in 4 of these individuals will die from liver cancer or liver failure. SF Hep B Free is dedicated to increasing awareness and education about Hepatitis B within the community, to increase access to affordable testing and vaccination, and provide linkage to care for chronically-affected individuals. Our supporters are the driving force behind our efforts to save lives and fight against hepatitis B. This summer, help save lives and reach our goal of $10K by the end of this summer through donations and participating in our run. Your contribution will allow SF Hep B Free to continue its work in saving lives.

RUN COURSE
We
will start on the path close to Crissy Field Center close to 10am
after a short briefing, head towards Fort Point National Historic
Site, turn around at the parking lot there, then follow the road
back in front of Sports Basement and back to our starting point.
Please note, there will not be bibs, official timing or formal
start or finish line.

Thank you all so much for your support and coming out. Almost $8,000 raised!
Thank you all for supporting our work and for all of those who came out to run and walk. Thank you to all the team captains, donors, and volunteers who came out. We had 65 participants, which is SO SO incredible and exceeded our goal!!!!
If you didn't get a chance to donate, there is still 4 DAYS LEFT! We are almost at $8,000. Thank you all for being 'Heroes'

Hi Runners/Walkers and Supporters!
Thank you so much for everyone's contributions, support, and registrations. It means a lot to us. Richard's Heroes is still on top with $2710 with TEAM “B” SMART 3.0 following closely behind with $2600. Shout out Team Vir as well bringing in the energy!!! We are almost at 7K! We have one more day until our fun run/walk. It is not too late to invite your friends and family—the more the merrier. LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!!!
When: Saturday, July 27th 10am. Please come on time if you can. We will be starting out with some stretches before we get moving!
Where: Meet in at Crissy Field. The address 1199 E Beach Building will be where our table with your hats, socks, water, and snacks will be.
Run Course:
A map is attached to indicate the path although it does
not have to be strictly followed so feel free to explore and take in
the ocean. 
Temp: Should be around high 50s/low 60s so great for a brisk run/walk- layer up just in case
Parking: There is usually plenty of parking in the Crissy Field lot right next to our starting point. If not there are several lots nearby to pick from.

$6K reached! Final Push Lets Go!
3 DAYS LEFT!
It looks like Richard's Heroes team is number 1 and Caryl's Team B Smart 3.0 is number 2 but they are neck and neck with $2,655 and $2,470 respectively. With a couple days left lets do a big final push. Grab your friends and family. We are almost there!
With your help we can get to $9000 to match last year's fundraising.
