Support Latino Outdoors Austin’s 3rd Annual Women’s Fly Fishing Campout
From March 20–22 , Latino Outdoors Austin will host 10 women and 10 Mentors for an all-expenses-paid weekend learning to fly fish on the Pedernales River . This mentor-led campout creates a welcoming, supportive space for women to build confidence on the water, form meaningful connections, build community and develop a lifelong connection to Texas rivers.
Through small-group instruction, hands-on practice, and guided time on the river, participants gain not only the technical skills to fly fish, but the spark to keep fishing, volunteering, and caring for our waterways long after the weekend ends.
Your donation directly helps us purchase essential fly-fishing gear for beginner anglers, removing barriers to entry and ensuring every participant can fully engage in the experience.
During the weekend, participants will learn:

Core fly-fishing skills:
basic casting, knots, entomology, and reading water

River conservation & angler ethics:
fish handling, habitat awareness, and how angling supports conservation

how to plan future fishing trips and connect with the broader
angling community
