The landscape scene depicts people engaged in different outdoors pursuits, highlighting the harmony between them and the environment. The artwork also celebrates the cultural significance of foods like maíz (corn), aguacate (avocado), chile (pepper), chocolate, frijoles (beans), all of which connect us to our ancestors, heritage, and the earth. Palacio says, “art can inspire us to deepen our connection to nature, the land, and our food.” This piece echoes his sentiment, "no matter where we go, we can't forget where we came from."
