Excellence in every park. Not just the ones with the headlines.
Not every National Park makes the headlines. The ones that don't still open their gates every morning. Visitors still arrive, and what they find is often a step below what the place deserves: exhibits that have aged out, a trailhead that doesn't work for everyone who shows up, a story the park can't tell because no one funded the sign or the film.
People in Parks closes those specific gaps. We work directly with park leadership, fund defined projects that improve the visitor experience in overlooked parks, and show you the result when it is finished.
Your gift is unrestricted. That is what lets us move when a park tells us what it needs.

What your gift underwrites right now
Every project below was identified by the park's own leadership, scoped to a defined outcome, and chosen because it closes a gap between adequate and excellent.
Access and Experience
- Petroglyph National Monument, New Mexico. South Point Trailhead: A real arrival point for a trail thousands of people already find on their own.
- Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, California. Movie Set Exhibit: One of the only National Parks with a focus on American filmmaking. A new exhibit arrives with the rebuilt Western Town.
Undertold Stories
- Honouliuli National Historic Site, Hawaiʻi. Park Film: Public access to the site is limited. A film carries its story to the people who cannot stand there.
- San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, California. Eureka Ferryboat Rescue Film: A rescue no one had attempted before, documented for the first time.
Education and the Next Generation
- Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, Idaho. Interactive Exhibits: Horse fossils 3.5 million years old, built into exhibits every visitor can reach.
- National Park of American Samoa. Junior Ranger Booklet: The only National Park south of the equator. Its Junior Ranger booklet contains no Samoan language. The new one will.

Leaving a Legacy of Loving Parks
Almost everyone who gives here started as someone who went to a park. A first trip. A memory that stuck. Usually someone took you there.
Then, at some point, you took someone else.
Giving is what comes next. It is how a park stays worth the trip for the next person you bring.
