Become A Monthly Sustainer
Become a monthly donor to Black Girls Know Best and power a future where Black girls’ histories, voices, and leadership are protected, not erased.
From archival preservation to political education to scouts-style programming for girls as young as two, your monthly contribution helps sustain our core initiatives:
BGKB Ambassador Program: A 10-week, intensive social justice experience for Black girls ages 13–18. Participants explore Black feminist thought, abolitionist education, and cultural storytelling through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and community organizing.
$800 covers a full stipend for one BGKB Ambassador.
Liberation School: Radical, community-based education rooted in Black feminist and abolitionist frameworks. A counter to traditional systems that erase or criminalize Black girls. Curriculum includes The People’s Syllabus, oral history work, and archival research.
$1,000 sponsors a full cohort session.
BGKB Trailblazers: Scouts Program: A structured, badge-based program for Black girls ages 2–11 rooted in Black history, early leadership, and cultural pride. This program nurtures identity, agency, and joy from the very start.
$200 covers a full Trailblazer uniform, patches, and materials.
The Black Girlhood Archive + Black Girlhood Memory Project: A national effort to build a comprehensive historical record of Black girlhood, including stories, objects, and experiences left out of traditional archives. Includes oral history, textbook development, and a community submission process.
$600 supports the monthly digitization and documentation of
memory materials.
Girls Clubs: Place-based programs rooted in heritage, cultural celebration, and regional identity. These initiatives connect Black girls to local history, sisterhood, and self-determination.
$500 supports one student for a month of city-specific programming.
We do not take trend-based approaches. Our work is long-term, community-centered, and culturally grounded, and we need you with us.
