Peer Resources was founded in 1979 with the premise that young people are on the front lines of their own lives, and with the resources and opportunities to lead, will make the best choices for themselves and their peers. Peer Resources saw that young people can take action immediately and built a city-wide program to provide concrete allyship to youth leaders on the verge.

Peer Resources creates just change in our schools and communities through the leadership of young people supporting, training, and advocating for each other.

Our programs focus on empowering youth from the classroom and beyond. Peer Leaders gives youth the tools they need to help their peers with skills like conflict resolution and schoolwork. The Educator Path Program prepares young adults for a career in education or school counseling.

Our organization empowers youth to see themselves as worthy, as having significant voice, and to act as leaders right now. We believe that young people are not only our future, they are our right now.
